Summary

This study tested whether the blood pressure drug telmisartan could prevent acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) in 32 people with blood cancers receiving a stem cell transplant. GVHD is a serious complication where donor cells attack the patient's body. The trial was stopped early, so results are limited.
