Can online Check-Ins help people with serious bowel disease stay healthier?

Summary
This study tested whether a web-based monitoring system could help people with complex inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's or colitis) stay in remission as well as standard clinic visits. 290 adults in Spain who were already taking strong medications for their condition were randomly assigned to either use the online platform for check-ins or continue with their usual doctor visits. Researchers compared how long patients stayed in remission over one year between the two groups.
