New hope for teens battling addiction and trauma: combined therapy shows promise

Summary
This study looks at whether a therapy called RRFT, which treats substance use and PTSD together, works better than standard separate treatments for teens aged 13-18. About 212 teens with both conditions will be randomly assigned to RRFT or usual care, and tracked for a year. The goal is to reduce substance use and PTSD symptoms, and see if the therapy is cost-effective and easy to use in real-world clinics.
