New throat-scope method may reduce injury during heart surgery ultrasound

Summary

This study tests whether using a video laryngoscope (McGRATH) to insert a heart ultrasound probe causes less throat injury than the standard method. About 100 adults having elective heart surgery will take part. The main goal is to see how often the throat gets bruised or cut during probe insertion.
