Summary
This study tests a new approach where teachers in rural Indian schools are trained to provide mental health support to teenagers. The goal is to see if this teacher-led system is practical, acceptable to students and families, and can help improve symptoms of depression and anxiety in teens. Researchers will work with 60 schools, training teachers to use therapeutic techniques during their normal school day interactions with students.
