Can a brain zap plus mental training boost stroke recovery?
NCT ID NCT05248178
First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether combining a gentle brain stimulation technique (tDCS) with a thinking-strategy training program could help people who had a stroke more than six months ago perform everyday activities better. Only 11 people were enrolled before the study ended early, so results are limited. The goal was to see if the approach was feasible and might improve task performance.
