First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 40 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a gentle electrical current applied to the scalp (tDCS) can improve working memory in older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Researchers will compare results from 110 participants aged 60-95, including both people with MCI and healthy older adults. The goal is to understand how the brain responds to this non-invasive stimulation, not to cure or treat the condition.
