Could a simple balloon squeeze make TAVI valves last longer?

NCT ID NCT07477002

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 10, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether giving an extra balloon inflation after placing a new heart valve (TAVI) helps the valve open more evenly and work better. About 146 people with severe aortic stenosis will be randomly assigned to receive this extra step or not. The goal is to see if it improves valve function and reduces future problems.
