NCT ID NCT03372317

First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study uses a special PET scan to detect tau protein buildup in the brains of healthy older adults and those with mild memory problems. Researchers want to see how tau relates to thinking skills, brain activity, and the risk of future decline. About 105 people aged 55–90 who have already had an amyloid PET scan will take part. The goal is to better understand how tau contributes to memory loss and dementia.
