New combo therapy aims to control prostate cancer without castration
NCT ID NCT06084338
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This phase 2 trial is testing whether a combination of targeted radiation (SBRT) and a radioactive drug called Pluvicto can control metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer without the need for ongoing hormone therapy. Sixty participants will stop castration and receive the treatments, with half also getting testosterone gel. The main goal is to see if the cancer stays under control for at least 6 months.
