Could a breast cancer drug shrink pancreatic cysts and spare patients from surgery?

NCT ID NCT06320990

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026

Summary

This early study tests whether tamoxifen, a drug used for breast cancer, can shrink or stabilize pancreatic cysts that may turn into cancer. Up to 15 women with these cysts who are not having surgery right away will take tamoxifen daily for up to 24 weeks. The main goal is to see if patients can stick with the treatment and if the cysts get smaller.
