New hope for BRCA-Linked breast cancer: targeted pill shows promise

Summary
This study tests a drug called talazoparib in people with metastatic breast cancer that has a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene change (mutation) in the tumor itself. The goal is to see if the drug can slow cancer growth or shrink tumors. About 30 participants will take the pill and be monitored for side effects and how long the cancer stays under control.
