New hope for moms: drug may stop hepatitis b spread to newborns

Summary

This study looks at how the drug TAF works in pregnant women with chronic hepatitis B. The goal is to see if it safely lowers the virus and prevents passing it to the baby. About 50 women will take TAF during late pregnancy, and their infants will be tested for the virus between 7 and 12 months old.
