First seen Nov 26, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a special suction device (INDIGO ASPIRATION SYSTEM with CAT RX) to remove blood clots during emergency heart artery opening improves heart muscle recovery. About 140 adults having a severe front-wall heart attack will be randomly assigned to get clot removal or standard care. The main goal is to see if the clot removal reduces heart damage and blocked small vessels, measured by MRI a few days later.
