First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique called tACS is safe and can temporarily improve thinking and memory in people with frontotemporal dementia. Thirty adults over 40 with the condition will receive both real and fake stimulation in a crossover design. The goal is to see if this single session can help with cognitive flexibility, memory, and emotion recognition.
