First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This pilot study tests whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique called tACS can safely speed up recovery from depression in teenagers aged 12 to 18. Participants will continue their usual medication and receive either real or fake tACS sessions. The goal is to see if tACS improves mood, reduces anxiety, and helps thinking skills, while checking for any side effects.
