NCT ID NCT06230159
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether synthetic cooling agents, used as a replacement for menthol in cigarettes, change how appealing or addictive the cigarettes are. 34 young adult smokers tested three types of cigarettes: menthol, non-menthol, and those with synthetic coolants. Researchers measured how much participants liked each type and how they smoked them, to understand if these new chemicals could pose similar risks as menthol.
