First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at brain tissue and lab-grown nerve cells from 150 people who had schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, Alzheimer's, or frontotemporal dementia. Researchers want to find out how the connections between brain cells (synapses) stop working properly in these conditions. They compare samples from affected people to those from healthy volunteers to spot differences in genes and proteins.
