Summary
This study tested whether a system that regularly checks children's cancer treatment symptoms and provides care guidelines to their doctors improves their quality of life. It involved 445 children aged 8-18 at 20 hospitals. Half the hospitals used the symptom screening tool and care pathways, while the other half provided usual care, to see which approach worked better.
