Summary

This study looked at whether adding a mild electrical stimulation to standard swallowing therapy can improve swallowing problems in people with multiple sclerosis. 136 adults with MS and swallowing difficulties took part. Half received real electrical stimulation plus therapy, the other half received a fake (sham) stimulation plus therapy. The goal was to see if the electrical stimulation provided extra benefit.
