First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

About 104 breast cancer patients will be randomly assigned to wear the gloves or not. Researchers will compare changes in nerve pain and function between the two groups using patient questionnaires.

Active substance

surgical gloves (compression therapy)

What this could lead to

If it works, this simple, low-cost method could help prevent painful nerve damage from chemotherapy in breast cancer patients.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage trial with only 104 participants. The results may not apply to all patients, and the gloves might not provide meaningful protection.
