First seen Dec 09, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looks at whether weight-loss surgery can help people with type 2 diabetes and severe obesity achieve long-term remission better than the best medical care alone. About 408 participants will be followed to see how surgery affects diabetes, kidney function, heart health, and quality of life. The goal is to find out which approach works best for each patient.
