Does the order of a Surgeon's cuts change Cancer's return?

NCT ID NCT05502523

Summary

This study aims to understand if the order a surgeon cuts the blood vessels during lung cancer surgery affects how much cancer DNA is left in the bloodstream afterward. Researchers will compare two standard techniques—cutting the vein first versus cutting the artery first—in 100 patients with early-stage lung cancer. The goal is to see if one method better reduces leftover cancer cells, which could influence long-term survival.
