First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests whether surgically removing the prostate, along with hormone therapy and possibly chemotherapy, helps men with prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. About 190 men with newly diagnosed metastatic prostate cancer will be randomly assigned to receive either standard therapy alone or standard therapy plus surgery. The goal is to see if adding surgery delays cancer progression and improves quality of life.
