First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at 136 Veterans recently hospitalized for suicide risk. Half will get a longer psychotherapy, half a shorter one, to see which works better at reducing suicidal thoughts and actions. Researchers will also use MRI brain scans to track changes over a year and see if brain activity can predict future suicide attempts. The goal is to improve suicide prevention for those who served.
