New hope for HIV-Positive teens: counseling program aims to stop suicidal thoughts
NCT ID NCT06770101
Summary
This study is testing whether a special counseling program can help reduce suicidal thoughts and improve HIV care for teenagers living with HIV in Malawi. Researchers will enroll 60 depressed teens who have had suicidal thoughts and randomly assign them to receive either the new counseling program or standard care. The main goal is to see if the program is practical and acceptable, as a first step toward creating a proven way to prevent suicide in this vulnerable group.
