Breakthrough study tests Life-Saving plans for At-Risk autistic youth
NCT ID NCT05398250
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to prevent suicide among autistic youth, who face much higher suicide risk than their peers. Researchers are comparing two specially designed safety planning approaches for 12-24 year olds: a basic safety plan versus that same plan with regular check-in calls. The goal is to see which method better reduces suicidal thoughts and behaviors while being practical for clinics to use.
