Summary

This study tests a culturally-appropriate education program called Indigenous SIPin for Native American men who are part of athletic communities. The goal is to help them drink fewer sugary beverages like soda and juice, which can lead to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and some cancers. About 48 participants will attend half-hour classes and receive text messages to support healthier drink choices.
