Scientists use hair and blood to track your soda habit
NCT ID NCT04799301
Summary
This study aims to develop better tools for measuring what people eat by testing if stable isotopes in blood, hair, and fat can track sugar intake from soda. For 13 weeks, 60 healthy adults will live at the NIH and follow controlled diets with different amounts of soda. Researchers will collect samples to see if these biological markers can provide more accurate diet information than self-reported food logs.
