Lung cancer breakthrough: chemo spares Low-Risk patients
NCT ID NCT07250360
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study involved over 2,000 people with early-stage non-squamous lung cancer who had surgery. Researchers wanted to see if adding chemotherapy after surgery helped prevent the cancer from coming back. They found that chemotherapy only improved survival for patients with high-risk features, not for everyone. The team also created a computer tool to help doctors decide who should get chemo.
