First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a specific gut bacteria (Bacteroides fragilis) and branched-chain amino acids to standard hepatitis B treatment can help clear the virus. About 40 adults with chronic hepatitis B will take the combo alongside their usual antiviral drugs, and their virus clearance rate will be compared to a group on standard therapy alone. The goal is to see if this supplement can improve the chance of eliminating the virus.
