First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a procedure to reopen a blocked artery in the back of the brain can help people who had a severe stroke 24 to 72 hours earlier. About 224 adults will be randomly assigned to get either the procedure or standard medical care. The goal is to see if more people can walk independently 90 days later.
