First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study aims to better understand the role of blood clots in different types of stroke. Researchers will use a special PET scan tracer that sticks to activated platelets, the cells that form clots, to see where clots are in the body. The study will involve 120 adults who have had a recent ischemic stroke. The goal is to improve diagnosis and understanding of stroke causes, not to test a new treatment.
