Muscle and body fat may predict stroke outcomes

NCT ID NCT06589297

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is looking at whether simple body measurements, like muscle size and body composition, can help predict how well someone will recover after a stroke. Researchers will measure the thickness and size of a specific muscle in the head and use a special scale to check body fat and muscle. They will follow 250 stroke patients to see how these measurements relate to their recovery at discharge and six months later.
