New MRI technique may forecast stroke outcomes
NCT ID NCT03265860
First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a special type of MRI scan, called IVIM, can help predict how well people recover three months after a stroke. Researchers scanned 274 adults who had a stroke and compared the scan results to their recovery scores. The goal was to see if the scan could give early clues about long-term outcomes, without using any contrast dye.
