VA tests new brain training to help veterans regain their words
NCT ID NCT04267198
Summary
This study tested a new speech therapy designed to help Veterans who have trouble finding words after a stroke. Researchers compared two different practice schedules (massed vs. spread out) to see which one helps people remember words better and for longer. They also looked at brain scans and thinking tests to try to predict which Veterans would benefit most from this specific type of therapy.
