BREAKING: could some breast cancer patients finally take a break from treatment?

Summary

This study looks at whether people with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer who have had an excellent response to treatment (cancer controlled for 3+ years) can safely stop their anti-HER2 therapy. Researchers will monitor how long it takes for the cancer to progress in those who stop versus those who continue treatment. The goal is to see if a treatment break is possible without harming outcomes.
