Doctors map altered stomachs to prevent anesthesia danger
NCT ID NCT07310875
Summary
This study aims to learn the best way to use a handheld ultrasound to see the stomach in people who have had weight loss surgery. Researchers will image the stomachs of 10 patients while they are under anesthesia, both before and after their surgical procedure. The goal is to gather knowledge that helps doctors better assess the risk of stomach contents entering the lungs during future surgeries.
