Radiation zaps tremors: new hope for Parkinson's and essential tremor patients
NCT ID NCT01734122
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests if a precise radiation treatment called stereotactic radiosurgery can reduce tremors and improve quality of life for people with essential tremor or Parkinson's disease whose medications aren't working well enough. About 60 adults will receive the treatment and then fill out questionnaires and have their tremors measured for one year. The goal is to see if this non-surgical option offers meaningful symptom relief.
