Scientists test stem cell infusions to slow Parkinson's

NCT ID NCT07232147

Summary

This early-stage study aims to test the safety and initial effects of stem cells from umbilical cords in people with Parkinson's disease. Twenty participants will receive either the stem cells or a placebo, given through an IV and sometimes also as a nasal spray. The main goal is to see if the treatment is safe and well-tolerated, while also checking for any early signs it might help with movement problems and other symptoms.
