Summary
This study aimed to test the safety and effects of an experimental stem cell treatment (BX-U001) for adults hospitalized with severe COVID-19 pneumonia and serious breathing problems (ARDS). The trial was designed in two parts: first to find a safe dose, and then to compare that dose against a placebo. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
