Could your own fat cells help you breathe again?
NCT ID NCT02946658
Summary
This study is testing whether stem cells taken from a patient's own body fat can safely improve lung function in people with moderate to severe COPD. Researchers will collect fat tissue, process it to isolate stem cells, and then give those cells back to the patient through an IV. The main goals are to check for safety and see if the treatment helps patients breathe better and walk farther.
