Scientists probe the inner workings of aging blood cells
NCT ID NCT05246813
Summary
This study aims to learn more about how blood stem cells work in older adults, especially those with common age-related genetic changes. Researchers will collect bone marrow and blood samples from 24 people aged 65+ who are having hip replacement surgery. They will compare the activity of normal cells and cells with these genetic changes to see how their energy use differs.
