Scientists try to regrow damaged hearts with stem cells

NCT ID NCT07347197

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether transplanting tiny spheres of lab-grown heart muscle cells can help people with severe heart failure. Fourteen patients will receive the cells via a catheter to their heart and be monitored for safety and potential improvements in heart function for one year. The goal is to see if this approach can help the heart pump better and improve patients' quality of life.
