This pilot study will test whether a stellate ganglion nerve block—a procedure used for chronic pain—can improve blood flow in the tiny vessels of the eye. Researchers will use a special camera (OCTA) to scan the retinas of 50 adults before and after the block. The goal is to see if calming the sympathetic nervous system helps protect the brain after a stroke or hemorrhage.
