VA tests quick shot that could calm Veterans' PTSD

NCT ID NCT05169190

Summary

This study is testing whether a stellate ganglion block (SGB), a quick injection in the neck, can safely reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in veterans. It involves 410 veterans with chronic PTSD who haven't fully benefited from standard therapies. Researchers are comparing the real injection to a sham (placebo) procedure and a waitlist to see if it provides meaningful and lasting relief.
