Common heart drug could be new shield against Cancer's deadly clots

NCT ID NCT07303816

Summary

This trial aims to see if a daily cholesterol-lowering pill (rosuvastatin) can safely prevent life-threatening blood clots in people with cancer. It will involve 4,000 patients who are at higher risk for clots but are not taking blood thinners. The study compares the statin to a placebo pill for one year to see which group has fewer clotting events.
