Cheap statin could prevent deadly clots in cancer patients

Summary
This study tests whether taking rosuvastatin (a statin) daily for one year can safely prevent life-threatening blood clots in people with cancer. Current clot-preventing drugs raise bleeding risks, so a safer option is needed. The trial will enroll 4,000 adults with newly diagnosed or relapsed cancer who are at high risk for clots.
