First seen Mar 02, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests a procedure called TEER, which uses a clip to repair a leaky heart valve in people with a specific type of mitral regurgitation caused by atrial issues. About 400 adults with moderate-to-severe symptoms despite medication will be randomly assigned to get the clip or continue standard care. The goal is to see if the clip reduces deaths, heart failure hospitalizations, and urgent care visits over two years.
