New tech aims to rewire the brain for better arm movement

NCT ID NCT07404761

Summary

This study is testing a new rehabilitation device called the SSMD to see if it helps improve arm and hand movement in adults recovering from a stroke or traumatic brain injury. About 150 participants will be randomly assigned to use either the new SSMD device or a standard electrical stimulation device during their usual rehab sessions over 5-6 weeks. The main goal is to see which group shows better improvement in arm function.
